本单元只需要学习ReadingHe和Grammar的内容。但是,Welcome的内容有必要花一点时间了解一下。让学生知道本单元的背景:我们在日常生活中享受着前人的伟大创造和劳动果实,要让学生更深入了解这些为人类社会作出杰出贡献的伟人,对青少年的成长大有裨益。

 

附:一周内容可以分多人主备,也可以一人主备,主备稿须提前一天一手一份发给同备课组老师提前阅读,以便在集体备课时发表意见。

一、创设情境

Step 1.  Greetings 

Step 2.  Free talk

Brainstorm the vocabulary and the phrases in the reading passages. Help Ss learn the words by heart. Encourage them to explain them to explain the words and phrases to their classmates.

二、自主合作

探究活动一:

Step 1

Read through the reading passage with the following questions:

  1 How old was Armstrong when he took his first flight?

  2. When did Armstrong join the navy?

  3. How long did Armstrong and Aldrin stay on the moon?

  4. What was Armstrong’s most important award?

Step 2 Discuss the answers in your groups .

Step 3 Tell your answers to the class.

Choose one student from two of the group to check the answer.

探究活动二:

Step 1

Read the article again. Ask Ss to raise some more questions to each other and then give the answers.

1. When did Armstrong become interested in flying?

2. How old was Armstrong when he became an astronaut?

3. What was the first spacecraft to land on the moon?

4. What did he say while he was stepping out onto the moon?

Work in groups. Tell your answers to the class.

Choose one student from two of the group to check the answer.

探究活动三 Listening

Step 1

Play the tape record for Ss to listen and learn to read. Remind them to pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation. At last ask them to open their books to make analysis about the long reading just like learning a Chinese passage: How many paragraphs should the article be divided into? And give the main idea of each paragraph.

二次备课

一、创设情境---引锚

    Ask several Ss to read the whole article, each one read two or three paragraphs. Then ask the whole class to do the exercise in Part B1 in Reading. After this task is finished, ask Ss to read the entire sentences some times until they have become familiar with the words and their explanations.

二、自主合作---探锚

探究活动一:

step 1 :

This period deals with some words and expressions related to the biographical article. Parts B1 and B2 involve activities that aim to help Ss grasp the usages of some important words and phrases by asking them to pick out the meaning of the words and do the matching work.

Step 2 :

Before doing this exercise, ask Ss to read the whole text themselves. Then ask them to finish the matching task in Part B2 in Reading on their own. After that, check the answers together. Then ask them to make sentences with the six words or phrases on the left. For stronger students, let them make up their sentences without any help but teacher should make sure that they make right sentences. For weaker students, they can be offered some Chinese sentences first, then they will translate these Chinese sentences into English.

探究活动二:

Step 1 :Ask students to write T or F to the sentences in Part B3. If the statement is wrong, require them to point out where the mistake is and correct it. Part B3 is designed to check if Ss have understood this article.

探究活动三:

Step 1 :

On the basis of the two steps above, answering the six questions in Part C2 is easy for them. It’s better for teacher to tell Ss to underline where the answers come from. If necessary, we can ask individual student to write the answers on the Bb for reference.

Part C2 aims to expand and evaluate Ss’ vocabulary by asking them to write out the answers to the six questions. Ss are expected not only to expand the related vocabulary but also to apply them in practical use.

 1.  Part A :Explain simple present tense of the verb ‘to be’ and ‘to do’

    Go through the tables with students.Point out the contractions.

    Ask students to read the sentences on their own.

 2. Tell students that we use the simple present tense to talk about things that

●are always true

●are true now

●we do regularly (habits,jobs,school work,etc.)

3.Ask students to go through the table with students.Ask students to master verb form changes for the simple present tense in the third person singular.

4.Ask students to master how to make positive and negative sentences in the simple present tense like this.

肯定句:主语+be+v.ing         否定句:主语+be+not+v.ing     

一般疑问句:Be+主语+v.ing?     回答:Yes,主语+be / No, 主语+ not be.

 3. A. 缩写形式:is not = isn’t   are not = aren’t  

   B. 答句主语用     词,肯定回答中代词和be不能用     形式;

   C. 疑问句中第一人称改为     人称;

   D. 肯定句改为否定句,常将and 改为     

自主合作----探究三

1. 基本结构:主语+动词过去式+其他;

否定形式: was/were+not;在行为动词前加didn't,同时还原行为动词;

一般疑问句Did+主语+do+其他。

2. 过去某个时间里发生的动作或状态,常和表示过去的时间状语连用,如yesterdayyesterday morningyesterday  afternoon last nightin 1990 two days ago 

3. 动词过去式规则变化: 直接加ed; 以不发音的e结尾的,+d;以辅 音字母+y结尾的,变yied;以重读闭音节结尾的,双写最后的辅音字母+ed;不规则变化

自主合作----探究四

 

1. 基本结构:was/were + v-ing

  否定式: was/were not + v-ing  (was not = wasn’t / were not = weren’t)

  疑问句:将 was/were 调到主语前

2. .表示在过去某个时间点正在发生的动作.常与at ten last night, at this time yesterday, at that time/moment , when I came in等连用.

3.表示在过去某段时间之内持续不断发生的动作.常与last night, this morning, from…to(from7 to 10 this morning)连用.

4.  He is swimming now.(at this time yesterday)

 He ______ swimming at this time yesterday

    It is raining now.(the whole night yesterday改写)

It ______ _______ the whole night yesterday

   They are dancing now.(at 4 p.m. yesterday改写)

     They _____ _______ at at 4 p.m. yesterday
